Mia nonna, probabilmente avendo spolverato un ricciolo vittoriano di troppo ai suoi tempi, sarebbe rimasta sconcertata dal mio fascino per tutte le cose vintage. Ma adoro quello che questi pezzi vintage hanno da dirci. I bellissimi ricami, i libri antichi, le cappelliere e i cesti da cucito, le ceramiche d'arte e le cartoline parlano di famiglia, amicizie, tradizioni, storia e orgoglio di fattura. My grandmother, probably having dusted one too many Victorian curlicues in her day, would be baffled by my fascination for all things vintage. But I do so love what these vintage pieces have to say to us. The beautiful embroidery, antique books, hat boxes and sewing baskets, art pottery and postcards speak of family, friendships, traditions, history and pride of workmanship.
