Al contrario, viviamo a Rochester NY. È una città bella e vibrante, ma rispetto alle lussureggianti foreste pluviali, è fredda, grigia, piena di cemento, auto e pazzi di ogni tipo. La neve cade regolarmente ad aprile (riceviamo 90 "di neve ogni anno).
Abbiamo sognato un campionato dalle nostre squadre sportive professionistiche e non si avvera mai (essere un fan dei Buffalo Bills & Sabres può essere doloroso a volte).
Nel cuore dell'inverno, gennaio 2013, dove non c'era una band con cui esibirsi e aveva bisogno di rifugio dal freddo, nacquero gli Howling Monkey.

Le noci tagua vengono raccolte attraverso una coalizione che impiega oltre 1800 nativi ecuadoriani che forniscono un buon reddito che normalmente non ci sarebbe senza questa importazione. A differenza dei plettri per chitarra in legno che richiedono ai produttori di raccogliere interi alberi, i picconi di noci tagua sono rispettosi dell'ambiente: stiamo solo raccogliendo il frutto. E poiché le noci tagua crescono sugli alberi, non c'è bisogno di danneggiare animali come i produttori di corni, ossa e zoccoli possono fare. In contrast, we live in Rochester NY. It’s a beautiful and vibrant city, but compared to the lush rainforests, it’s cold, gray, full of concrete, cars, and crazy people of all kinds. Snow regularly falls in April (we get 90″ of snow each year).
We’ve dreamt of a championship from our professional sports teams and it never comes to true (being a Buffalo Bills & Sabres fan can be painful sometimes).
In the dead of winter, January 2013, where there was not a band to gig with and needing refuge from the cold, Howling Monkey was born.

Tagua Nut is a natural, environmentally sustainable substance found in South America (Ecuador/Columbia). The tagua nuts are harvested through a coalition employing over 1800 native Ecuadorians providing good income that would normally not be there without this import. Unlike wood guitar picks that require manufacturers to harvest entire trees, tagua nut picks are environmentally friendly--we're just picking the fruit. And since tagua nuts grow on trees, there's no need to harm animals like horn, bone and hoof guitar pick producers may do. Our supplier meets ISO 9002 standards and is certified by SGS International Certification Services.
