With an explorer's rapture and a craftsman's loving touch, set designer Benoit Royer becomes our guide as he enters into and discovers the beating heart of the forest.
Through his creations, each one of which captures an intimate slice of a specific tree's life, he is able to share with us the trees unique self-expression of its own individual passage through time.
The finished sculpture emerges in all four dimensions, becoming a song of praise to the beauty of the captured event of Life's dynamic flow.
Benoit has the artist's burning passion for entering into the soul of the tree's essential grain, for selecting that perfect slice and then releasing it to create, at the happy intersection of Art and Nature, an object, where the container-medium has become the aesthetic Message.
