Bem-vindos ao PoppyCod! Nasci e cresci em Terra Nova, e foi de lá que surgiu a inspiração para o nome PoppyCod. Em Terra Nova, "Poppy" é uma forma comum e carinhosa de as crianças se referirem ao avô. A palavra "cod" também é frequentemente usada como um termo afetuoso, especialmente entre crianças. Meu avô costumava nos chamar de "cod", e com o tempo, meu primo começou a chamá-lo de PoppyCod. Faz alguns anos que não moro em Terra Nova, mas o nome PoppyCod sempre me traz boas lembranças e me faz recordar da minha família e da minha infância.

Welcome to PoppyCod! I was born and raised in Newfoundland, and that’s where the inspiration for the name PoppyCod comes from. In Newfoundland, “Poppy” is a common and affectionate way for children to refer to their grandfather. The word “cod” is also often used as a term of endearment, especially for kids. My grandfather used to call us grandkids “cod,” and over time, my cousin began calling him PoppyCod. I have not lived in Newfoundland for quite a few years but the name PoppyCod always brings me back and reminds me of family and my childhood.
Each of these bags is a labor of love, meticulously crafted one at a time in my cozy home studio.
