1- We love to work with copper, and combine it with western red cedar. It makes a wonderful match together, and ages beautifully outdoors. The Copper will tarnish, and eventually turn green, as the Cedar will turn grey.
2- Aluminum riveted is our other specialty, it is the traditional way they used to build airplanes, using aluminum solid rivets. It makes the object really strong and reasonably light at the same time.
Trained as architects in Normandy, France, we became designers/makers by passion for high quality craftsmanship. After leaving France, almost 10 years ago, we settled in Toronto, Canada, where we started our self-apprenticeship of metal work alongside woodworking, designing and building the prototype of a re-edition of an iconic 1930's aluminum riveted traveling trailer (Have a look at it here ---> https://bowlus.com/ ). This was for us a key moment that made us understand that being in charge of both design and manufacture, is the most valuable part of good craftsmanship.

Our story line is curved and has many paths, one of them is crafting design objects for gifts. -
At the studio or "design lab", computer and tools are working together. -
Drilling holes and holding aluminum sheets with Clekos, one of the many steps needed before riveting. -

Riveting with solid rivets requires 2 people, to flatten the foot of the rivet and hold metal sheets tightly.
