Al igual que el nombre de mi tienda, comencé Randomalia... bueno... al azar.

Hace años, debido a la falta de fondos, perdí mi trabajo sin fines de lucro trabajando con pacientes con cáncer. Mientras buscaba un nuevo trabajo, también comencé a ayudar a mis amigos con sus fiestas y eventos para mantenerme ocupado. Dado que a menudo no podía encontrar lo que buscaba, ya fuera el tema, el diseño o el color, creaba lo que necesitaba por mi cuenta. Durante ese tiempo me encontré haciendo pancartas, invitaciones, decoraciones, incluso piezas de diseño a gran escala. Era algo que me di cuenta de que me encantaba hacer y me sorprendía soñando despierto sobre lo que podría crear a continuación.

Empecé a jugar con la idea de crear una tienda de Etsy para mí. Por capricho, abrí mi tienda en junio de 2012 con un artículo: vasos de helado personalizados. Tenía la meta de hacer 8 ventas por año y ver qué pasaba. Al final de mi primer año, había agregado 23 artículos más a la tienda y había realizado 150 ventas.

Mi pequeño sueño al azar se convirtió en un pequeño negocio al azar maravilloso.

Me tomé un tiempo libre para tener algunos bebés y ahora estoy de regreso trayendo contenido digital a mi pequeño espacio aleatorio aquí en la web.

¡Amo lo que hago y sé que no podría hacerlo sin mis increíbles clientes! Me encanta crear nuevas piezas para ellos y adaptar mi trabajo a sus necesidades. Todos y cada uno de los días en la tienda trae algo nuevo, maravilloso y, por supuesto, ¡al azar!

Much like the name of my shop, I started Randomalia... well... randomly.

Years ago, due to a lack of funds, I lost my non-profit job working with cancer patients. While looking for a new job I also started helping friends with their parties and events to keep busy. Since I often couldn't find what I was looking for - whether it be theme, design, or color - I'd just create whatever I needed on my own. During that time I found myself making banners, invitations, decorations, even large scale design pieces. It was something I realized I loved to do and I would catch myself daydreaming about what I could create next.

I began to toy with the idea of creating an Etsy shop for myself. On a whim, I opened my shop in June of 2012 with one item - custom ice cream cups. I had a goal of making 8 sales for the year and just seeing what would happen. By the end of my first year I had added 23 more items to the shop and had made 150 sales.

My random little dream turned into a randomly wonderful little business.

I took some time off to have some babies, and now I'm back bringing digital content to my little random space here on the web.

I love what I do and I know I could not do it without my amazing customers! I love creating new pieces for them and tailoring my work to their needs. Each and every day in the shop brings something new, wonderful, and of course, random!
