About Lechoppedesfees
Who are we?
L’échoppe des fées is a small family shop, designed and created by the painter Sybiline.
Always inspired by the world of the imagination, fairies and nature, Sybiline expresses this wonderful world in her works. The store opened its doors on Etsy in 2015 with a few originals, cards and posters. Having little time to devote to the endeavor, the store remained dormant for a few years. Then a bigger project animated the artist’s dreams.
Having always wanted to share projects with her father —a woodworker—the artist proposed him an idea: she would use her talents to make cute little wooden mushrooms. Delighted with the proposal, the father accepted to turn the pieces and to sculpt them. Sybiline would then color each one by using a transparency technique highlighting the grain of each of the trees used. Little by little, the project developed and a magnificent collection was created. This was the real departure of the store. It took off then.
Sybiline also developed a few projects with her life companion: Alain Samson, a writer in the field of positive psychology. Together, they published two books on the theme of fairies and their positive impact on human beings.
The company is still growing with passion and in tune with nature. Here, each person’s strengths are highlighted and all creations are made with care and love.
