Hi there!
Thank you so much for visiting my Etsy shop. I’m an Essex gal who has loved sewing for as long as I can remember and thrive on how I can get completely lost in my own world whilst I do it. It’s true therapy for me!
My career in Musical Theatre for the last 19 years has given me some wonderful roles to play so far such as Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’ (West End), Annie Oakley in ‘Annie Get Your Gun’ (UK Tour) and Edwin Drood in ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’ to name but a few. But my love of sewing from a young age has never left me and I’ve always wanted it to play a larger role in my life, especially when it comes to learning new skills in dressmaking. So when looking to begin this shop and deciding on a name, ‘The Sewing Singer’ felt like the perfect fit for me.
I've just completed a fantastic intensive course at Fashion Antidote near Brick Lane to hone my dressmaking skills and am currently working on some really cute projects to sell here so watch this space!
