Description

I started making these because I was tired of picking my kitchen towels off the floor. If you are too, these are great little hanging towels for the kitchen or wherever, especially the RV!

No buttons and buttonholes to fiddle with, the towel just slips through the loop which makes it easy to hang pretty much anywhere. Just drop the loop down behind your stove's handle for example, then insert the towel through the loop, and that's it!

Measurements are approximately 16 inches long, not including the loop by 15 inches wide. The loop itself is about 6 -7 inches long. The fabric topper is all cotton and is attached with decorative stitches.

FAQs

All items are pre-washed prior to posting for sale. Unless otherwise specified, you can wash and dry your purchase as normal.

Please be aware that most quilted items will pucker once washed. Many prefer this sought after look, however if you do not, please consider this information prior to your purchase of any quilted item.

Microwavable products require special attention when washing:
If your microwavable items require cleaning, it is best to wash with only a little detergent. DO NOT use fragrant enhancing bead additives or fabric softener. Just as importantly, DO NOT use dryer sheets when drying.
I occasionally accept a custom order. Feel free to contact me to inquire further and I will see what I can do for you.

It is highly recommended by the microwavable batting manufacturer I use (Pellon), that cooking times should be limited to 2 minute intervals. When longer cooking time is required, stop, turn the item then continue cooking. Not heeding to the manufacturer's warning, could result in over heating which could become a fire hazard.

Never leave the microwave unattended during cooking time.

All microwavable items sold in my shop are made with 100% cotton fabric, microwavable batting, and 100% cotton thread and are pre-washed prior to sale.

Please see Care Instructions above regarding how to wash your microwavable product. ~
There are a few good reasons why I prefer to use flannel instead of batting inside my quilts. One reason is that it is much easier to deal with when quilting the blankets together; most often I do not need to use my "walking foot" to do my quilting. It is also cost effective, thus I do not need to charge more for my quilts. I do not charge for time spent creating each quilt.

However, my #1 reason is because I truly believe that flannel is warmer and cuddlier than store bought batting. I have personal quilts, one with flannel, and the other with batting and I find the one with flannel much warmer. My grandmother made all of her quilts with flannel. They kept them warm throughout the great depression and that's good enough for me.
Why my prices are much lower for my quilts than many others charge...

The way I look at it is that I'd be sewing something anyway (yes, it's an addiction) so there is no point looking at how many hours went into a project. If I did that, they would be astronomical in price. One of my own quilts took my 11 months to complete, albeit I did that one entirely by hand. On average, it takes me a week to a month or so, depending on size and design, to complete a quilt.

Also, I use 100% heavy flannel instead of batting inside, which helps keep costs down (batting is much more expensive). Please see the question above about why I use flannel for more information.
