The Tua Lipa bag was designed for those of us who are always running through a field of flowers in our minds no matter what situation we might find ourselves in. Sweaty subway? Jury duty? No worries. We'll be over here by the tulips ignoring reality!

This is a written crochet pattern full of detailed instruction and photographs. It also includes links to video tutorials for the more intricate techniques used.

There are two different options for handles: a spiral chain for the more advanced crocheter and a simple single crochet version depending on your preference and comfort.

The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.

Note: I write the pattern using bullet points rather than long lines of text because I think it’s easier to read!

SKILL LEVEL:
This pattern is suitable for confident beginners and intermediate level crocheters.

TIME:
Most people state that this bag takes 6-8 hours. It’s a perfect weekend project!

YARN QUALITY/MATERIALS:
The instructions and supplies are written for creating this bag with raffia yarn but this is only a suggestion!
This bag has been made in many different qualities and looks adorable in all of them.
It should take no more than one standard size skein of yarn for each color and it can also be a great stash buster!

If using raffia, the following materials are needed:
5 spools 100% rayon raffia (100 yards each):
-3 spools/skeins col. A (base+handles)
-1 spool col. B (stems)
-1 spool col. C (petals)*

*You may work each row of tulips in a different color. Purchase additional colors as needed for this. You will have leftovers!

USH8 hook (5.00mm) (adjust your hook size based on test swatch)

You will also need safety pins or stitch markers.

VIDEO TUTORIALS:
Some of the crochet techniques in this bag may be new to you (specifically the spiral chain handle) and are best learned by watching a video tutorial due to their finicky nature. For these, only basic steps will be written out and it will be necessary to watch an accompanying video online at www.dagworthy.com/videos to learn the technique.
