Meet Charlotte…

She’s a solid wood Empire dresser with a bow front top drawer, scalloped legs, dovetail drawers and original brass key holes, and she has stood the test of time better than most.

Charlotte in her entirety was hand painted using Country Chic Paint in Elegance, a very versatile dusty blue with a greyish undertone, and moderate distressing was applied for a timeworn farmhouse aesthetic. The top and legs were stripped and sealed with clear coat to maintain their original finish.

An embossed leaf patterned wallpaper was added to the top drawer front and painted using Elegance for a cohesive aesthetic. The inside of the top drawer was fully lined in the same paintable wallpaper and painted using Country Chic Paint in Vanilla Frosting. The remaining 4 drawers were fully lined in a bird and botanical wallpaper. New vintage style hardware in a brass and ceramic finish with a crackled aesthetic were added.

We bought this chest of drawers and mirror for our 92 year old mother. Shannon was very helpful in providing information to help us decide whether this was the right piece. She sent additional pictures and a short video and she even sourced and finished a mirror to match. The delivery service was fantastic - to an out-of-the-way location - very prompt and friendly and a very reasonable delivery fee. Fantastic service all-around! My mom loves the dresser and mirror!
