Mystery Stitch Along (SAL) Cross Stitch - 2023

This is a 12-month stitch along (SAL) project. It is not based on the traditional SALs but more like a puzzle. 12 pieces (plus the initial release) will be creating a full, finished image.

This purchase will give you up to the most recent release with your order. Download, get it kitted out and get started!

Releases will be done on the 11th of each month, starting January 11, 2023. Files provided are for the Initial Release and January. Next release is April 11th.

Your email will be added to a distribution list and you will get the monthly release via email. Please make sure that a) you do not unsubscribe or you won't receive the files and, b) that you have my email (chantal@paintwithstitches.com) marked as valid or the emails will go in your spam folder.

By purchasing this listing, you automatically approve to be added to the mailing list. If you have a concern with this please contact me to discuss, at this point in time this is the only easy communication process I have.

Releases are cumulative. The January release pattern will include the base from this purchase. February will include the base + January (and so on and so forth) until you have a full pattern. You can either follow along or wait until December 2023 to get started. At the end of the SAL, I will release 1 compressed file which will include ALL the files and the final version. You can do the SAL anytime on your own using this final release package (Dec. 2023). I also add all the previous month in this download so if you started later then you can do them on your own time and, maybe, catch up!

All cross and half stitches within the main pattern to be completed in 2 strands (unless you stitch on fabric that requires 100x magnification glasses... in that case, I'm sure 1 strand will work!)

A few notes:
1) This is not a full coverage!
2) If you have coloured fabric that you would like to use but are unsure if it will fit, message me at chantal [!at] paintwithstitches.com and I will help you figure out if it will work or not.
3) Medium to dark coloured fabric would have best effect, recommend using dark blue, grey or forest green.
4) Having a gridded fabric will make your life easier especially when switching between months.

Type Of Stitches: Full and half Stitches. Half stitches in the pattern are indicated by triangles for ease of use. The half stitches just help smooth out the curve since I do not use any backstitching.

Do not forget to a leave 2-4" (5-10 cm) border around your work to facilitate framing.
