This drum was created with the skilled hands of my dear friend Haley MacIntyre who puts love and the intention of calling in and connecting with our spirit guides and ancestors with her drums and rattles that she makes. Her creations are gifts for anyone that has the honour of using them.
The image Sandra chose to paint the drum with is the Fibonacci sequence. The spiral shape of the Fibonacci sequence is derived from a simple mathematical equation that creates the perfection of nature and the human body. It can be found in every in nature and in naturally occurring spirals like snail shells and is how flower find their perfection in the size, number and shape of it's petals and in endless more examples.
It is also closely connected to the golden ratio which is the perfection of the human body in it's perfect mathematical proportions (think of Leonardo Devinci's Annunciation). Nature is in harmony and perfection with itself and does not fight the ebb and flow of what is occurring.
The Universe is a wonder of perfection as are we. It is always seeking balance, the truth and perfection. The situations in our life are here to help us find our own balance, truth and perfection. These aspects of our life are only shining a spotlight on the inside of us that needs to be seen and acknowledged. So if we have beliefs and stories that have become a part of our identity that is not the truth of our soul then we need to see what that is so we can rewrite the story and our identity to be in harmony and alignment with who we are.
Any of the drums for sale can be custom painted by Sandra. You will have a private consultation with Sandra to decide on the image
that would best represent what you are calling in or sending out into the world. To drum is to come into harmony with our own natural rhythm, with mother earth and everything.
Haley describes drumming as a way of calling in our ancestors and spirit guides to assist us. They here the loving sound of the drum and they respond.
We use these sacred drums for our song circles, drum circles, opening the directions, medicine song circles and more. We treat our drums with love and we give thanks to the animals, trees and people that contributed and sacrificed for the making of the drum.
