Among the provisions designed to sustain his British Antarctic Expedition of 1907, Ernest Shackleton brought with him a total of 46 crates of Mackinlay's Rare Old Highland Malt Whisky.
This is an artist's rendition of the famous crates, which can still be found around the hut at Cape Royds. All illustrated parts of this reproduction were digitally hand drawn as close to the real design as possible.

A gift for my scotch loving son's birthday. The quality is amazing! The packaging? Let me put it this way. I did not open the wrap after I opened the box. Yep! To perfect. The wrap made it clear to all that there is a high quality product hidden inside that wrapping. Thank you! My son LOVED it!

Incredible! Love my new wooden signs, they’re exactly as advertised. Beautiful workmanship, will definitely be picking up a couple more VASSdesign signs in the future.

Pete's fantastic artwork is highly evocative of the Golden Age of Polar Exploration. His attention to detail in being true to the original expedition relics while creating reproductions that convey a sense of antiquity is commendable. His products are great pieces of art and conversation pieces. Pete's speedy service, great communication and careful shipping created nothing but a very positive experience for anyone fortunate enough to own his originals.
