Description

The "I Get To" Legacy Chain is a stylish and simple reminder not to wait to live each day asking yourself "What do I GET TO do today?" or "Who do I GET TO be a Lifeline to today?"

Each necklace is uniquely hand-stamped and assembled by a guest at Whole Way House Society in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The part-time work gives an opportunity for someone who struggles with mental illness and/or addiction issues to creatively work with their hands at their own pace and in a safe and comfortable environment to ReBuild dignity, value and purpose in their lives.

The proceeds from each necklace go to help fund the Community Programs at Whole Way House and to the 'Ron Konkin Legacy Fund' for couples and families in crisis to attend the Relationship Lifeline weekend, which was Founded by Ron & Tina Konkin.

This is the legacy that Co-Founders, Jenny & Josh's father, Ron Konkin, left them after he was diagnosed with terminal melanoma in 2009 and passed away on December 25, 2013. We hope you will be inspired to start asking yourself "What legacy do I GET TO leave?" and live each day on purpose to positively impact those around you. Full story at www.igetto.ca

It's such a great feeling to have a beautifully crafted piece of jewelry that also supports a great cause. Totally love this I Get To necklace, conversation starter and functional bling.

Although I had already purchased the sterling silver large necklace for myself, I purchased a few of these original legacy chains to "keep in stock". As time has gone by I've given them all out. To folks who need to remember that they have more light than darkness and for friends who've already realized this is a happier and more content path and would like a regular reminder. I'm happily restocking my little stash and will continue to do so!

Love the meaning behind this necklace! I got one for myself and my mom for Christmas. Whenever I wear it people ask me what it means. And I proudly tell them about the I GET TO LEGACY and it what it stands for. It also goes with pretty much everything :)
