Baby Groot is a great gift for the comic book fan in your life. I wanted to make a cuddly crochet Baby Groot - no wire or hard pot, just a nice soft little Groot that you could give to a child or cuddle without worrying about him poking you in the eye. So I gave it a go and ended up with this little guy!

The PDF pattern includes 14 pages with pictures and detailed instructions. If you have any questions or anything is unclear, please email me and I’m happy to help. I’d also just love to hear if you download my pattern and make a Groot! :)

Difficulty level: Intermediate

Supplies

- Worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Super Saver or similar): Light brown, dark brown, white, small amount of green, very small amount of black (to embroider the mouth)

- For the eyes – small amount of black & white felt, or safety

- Size G / 4.25 crochet

- Darning needle for sewing pieces together and adding the face

- Craft glue (if using felt for the

- Scissors

- Fiberfill stuffing

Abbreviations / Techniques Used

All details below are based on US crochet terms.
Magic Circle
Ch: Chain
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
SL: Slip Stitch
Inc: Increase
Dec: Decrease
BLO: Crochet in the back loops only
FLO: Crochet in the front loops only
