Wooden swords

En garde!

With our wooden replicas of swords, sabers and daggers, kids will travel from Antiquity to the Middle Ages, seeing themselves as heroes such as centurions, musketeers, pirates or knights.

Three different models are available, all made from basswood :
- straight sword, 24" (61 cm) in length ;
- pirate saber, 22.5" (57 cm) in length ;
- dagger, 12" (30 cm).

The straight sword and daggers both have their handles wrapped in sisal twine.


Our swords are stained and treated with ecological and biodegradable products certified for use on toys.

All our toys are made by hand and with passion in our small country shop in Québec, Canada.

[History]

Swords appeared with bronze working long ago and their production has never ceased since then. Though its parts – blade, guard, grip and pommel – were bettered afterwards, the shape of the sword itself didn’t change since its creation, which is stunning. It has been the faithful companion of the warrior until World War II, but since a hundred years, a sword is more of a ceremonial object than a real war weapon.
Wooden swords always existed: they trained the warrior when he was still a kid without risking severe injury.

1. If you buy two swords (or a sword and a shield), there are no additionnal shipping costs as they fit in the same box!

2. If you are buying multiple items (same items or different ones from our shop), please contact us before ordering so we can better arrange your shipping! We might be able to combine items which results in lower shipping costs.

3. For buyers outside of Canada and the United States, please contact us for shipping details! As each case is different, we will calculate shipping costs and check options accordingly and arrange something with you.
