This luxurious handspun yarn is hand dyed in shades of pink and purple. Polwarth is a super soft and squishy yarn perfect for next-to-skin items, and the silk provides additional strength and shine to the yarn. Enough yardage to make a beautiful shawlette or scarf/stole to treasure for years to come.

Polwarth sheep are originally Australian and are named after Polwarth - a region near Colac in Victoria. Polwarth are a cross between the Merino and Lincoln breeds. At 23.5 microns, their fleece is super soft and the resulting yarn is full of bounce and very suitable for next to skin wear.

This listing is for one skein of Sport weight yarn, as shown.

Blend contains:
85% Polwarth wool
15% Tussah silk

370 yds
3.8 oz
14-16 wpi

This yarn was spun on my Lendrum ST wheel in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.

This yarn will felt. If that is not your intention, please be sure to hand wash gently in cool water and lay flat to dry.
