Snowflake laced new work by Ottawa based poet Amanda Earl. A long poem made up of quippy, image laden smaller ones form an icy urban sprawl of thoughts on surviving another winter; thoughts most Canadians can easily relate to. Pretty Sapphire Gin blue card stock cover, vellum insert and snow white cotton pages hand sewn with silver and white thread, this pint sized book measures 4.25” x 5.5” and would look adorable displayed on your bookshelf.

Nifty, simple (in a good way) production. Accessible, entertaining poems. Nicely done on all counts.

An elegant, spare and meditative group of poems that contain diverting juxtapositions. This may be a fresh voice in Canadian poetry but one that is mature enough to give the reader space to come to his or her own conclusions. shreeking violet press's graceful design doesn't hurt it either. Looking forward to what's coming next from Ryan Pratt.
