MICROWAVE POACHED EGG COOKER
Make yourself a poached egg in a couple minutes without grease or water with my 175 ml microwave poached egg cooker (see instructions below). A nice rustic looking addition to your kitchen. This piece is handmade by myself in my Lawrencetown studio using wheel thrown red Canadian stoneware and homemade glaze. It is food safe and lead free. It is also dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe although I recommend hand washing and carefully avoiding thermal shock at all times.

As with all my work, each piece is handmade and unique and therefore has its own character. The size, shape and color may vary and differ from the pictures. These slight imperfections are what makes handmade beautiful and are meant to be enjoyed.

INSTRUCTIONS
Crack an egg or two into the cooker. You can whisk the egg, break the yolk or leave it whole. Put the lid on and microwave at MEDIUM-LOW POWER for about 2 minutes for 1 egg and 3 ½ minutes for 2 eggs. Eat straight from the cooker or drop your poached egg out onto a breakfast sandwich or a BLT. You can also add a little flavor! Classic salt and pepper is good but why not try a little olive oil, garlic and herbs? Warning: Run some tests to find the right power level and cook time for your microwave.

WARNING
Stoneware gives amazing taste to you dishes by allowing even heat distribution. It also retains heat for a longer period of time. It can be used for anything you’d bake in an oven or microwave. You must avoid thermal shock at all times by waiting until it has cool down to room temperature before to wash, by never using on the stove top (even with a heat diffuser) and by always using a trivet when hot (preferably cork, straw, silicone or wood). You can also soak it into water to wash or use steel wool to clean.

PROCESS TIME
When everything goes well, I need 4-5 weeks to make a piece. 8 weeks is the longest time possible it can take me, if we consider problems in productions or vacations. Feel free to contact me at any time to get an estimated time of arrival.
