I wanted to create a journal that reflected the 1920’s era of Art Deco. Something that was reminiscent of the The Great Gatsby. An item that would not be out of place on Hercule Poirot’s desk, or maybe even found under the pillow of Miss fisher. I do hope you like what I came up with.
The cover in the image is merely an example of what your cover may look like. Your notebook cover may or may not have a few small natural wrinkles, scratches and imperfections (even more so with this Old Soul) that lend a tremendous amount of character. Due to the differences in leather and size, each cover is its own unique creation. Props and other items (including notebooks) are not included in your purchase. You are purchasing just 1 notebook cover alone. No paper products/inserts included.

•The leather we use is taken from the industry where the hide would otherwise go to waste.
We use Full Grain vegetable tanned leather. This is a high quality leather with life and sole.
Full Grain Leather comes from the surface layer of the hide which has ALL of the natural grain, therefore, FULL grain. The natural surface of full grain leather burnishes and beautifies with use.
Being Full Grain leather your notebook cover may or may not have a few small natural wrinkles and imperfections (even more so with this Old Soul) that lend a tremendous amount of character. We do not deal in second grade leather that is also (confusingly named) known as Top Grain Leather.
We use Full Grain vegetable tanned leather. This is a high quality leather with life and sole.

Caitlin 21 Mar, 20195 out of 5 starsI chose this one for its looks and not for the features. This shop doesn't offer pockets or wide flat spines to hold the inserts flush. While not my perfect travelers notebook, it is very elegant looking and well made. The leather is thick and smooth and the whole things gives the impression of an expensive old book.

I purchased a small field notes size and I also purchased a large wide regular travelers journal size. While they do not have all the extras some other shops offer ( pockets, pen holder, etc) its the simplicity that sold me. They are elegant and beautiful and I am probably going to get another here in the near future.
