Description

FREE SHIPPING in North America on all handspun yarn and wearables!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This handspun yarn is hand dyed in shades of blue, yellow and green. Incredibly exquisite hand and soft shimmering drape make this a great choice for that cute shawlette or scarf pattern you've been coveting. Whether you knit, crochet, or weave, this yarn will make a cuddly soft fabric that you'll want to wear often.
Merino sheep are hardy and thrive in environments which are much too harsh for other domesticated sheep breeds. They are well suited to the high altitudes and mountainous landscapes of New Zealand’s South Island high country, where temperatures can range from 35°C in summer to -15°C in winter. Merino is a breed of sheep famous for its fine, soft wool, and is the "gold standard" to which all other fibers are compared.
This listing is for one skein of Fingering weight yarn as shown. The last photo shows 'Great Barrier Reef' with other yarns; they are not included in this listing but may be purchased separately in the shop.
Blend contains:
60% Merino wool
20% Yak down
20% Bombyx silk
396 yards
3.9 oz
16-20 wpi
This yarn was spun on my Lendrum ST wheel in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.
This yarn will felt, so if that's not your intention, be sure to handwash your finished garment gently in cool water and lay flat to dry.
If you would like it in a center pull ball, please let me know during checkout.
