I was thrifting at a Sally Ann a few years back and came upon many pieces that were made in West Germany, which indicates it was made sometime in the late 1970s, not just because of the style, but definitely no later than the 80s, given that "west" Germany was no longer a thing as of 1991. The tag reads "Jobis" and it's a European size 40, according to the tag. I would call it a small medium, depending on how you want it to fit. Model in photos is 5'7", lots of room for more chest action than pictured. I personally imagine a petite German woman who owned all these stylish clothes, who came to live in Canada because of the civil strife in Germany, you know, for the kids. And maybe this was one of her favorite tops, and she'd be so glad to see it find a good home!
Ah, the stories a blouse could tell. Anyway.

This top is exceptional, and I have never seen anything like it, which is why I had to bring it into the collection. The fabric is light, a tightly woven poly-knit, in a brown/green colour with black hand-painted style abstract pattern. It's ruched around the waist so that the top sort of billows over. The buttons are functional, surprisingly, a gold coin sort of finish. There are also two large open pockets over each breast, you could stash a lip balm or some cash, maybe your phone if you aren't too chesty or clumsy. The sleeves are also sewn in a sort of cascade along the top seam, maybe there is a name for it, I don't know, but the effect is lovely. Overall, the shirt is in Grandma-level condition, by which I mean near perfect, and likely drycleaned and pressed before it's journey to the ether so it's in fantastic condition.
