CANYON CASCADE - dyed on Incyanity's "Journey" base, this yarn is perfect for socks! Finespun superwash merino wool adds extra softness while the 25% nylon content brings strength and resiliency to the yarn to make your handmade socks last.

Nylon yarn is not just for socks! This yarn is also perfect for scarves, gloves, shawls, ponchos, tops, and even toques, cardigans, and sweaters.

● 75% fine superwash merino, 25% nylon
● 462 yards (422 meters)
● 100 gram (3.5 ounce) hank

Every effort is made to depict skein color accurately but actual shades may vary due to differences in monitor settings. Each skein is also unique: no two will be exactly the same, even when dyed together. For best results, alternate skeins every other round or row and be sure to order enough yarn for your project!

Some hanks have been reskeined to eliminate tangles so the colors may not line up as shown in the product shots.

Incyanity yarn is hand dyed, washed, and rinsed in a clean, pet-free, and smoke-free environment.

INSPIRATION PHOTO
Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park has several gorgeous waterfalls that can be seen from the catwalk. It's one of my favorite places to go for a spring or early summer casual hike.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
This superwash yarn can be machine washed and tumble dried on low but for best results, hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. Water conditions in your area may cause some colors to bleed slightly on the first few washes.

For best results (even with superwash yarn), hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. Never wring or scrub the yarn.

Use a neutral pH detergent such as Synthrapol or Dawn dish soap. Regular laundry detergent or other soaps might increase the pH of your water (making it alkaline). Alkaline conditions encourage dye to “strip out” (bleed) regardless of how well the color was set originally. Yikes!

Note: If you live in an area with naturally “hard” water, you might see bleeding even if you use a neutral pH detergent! In that case, you may also have to use filtered or distilled water to wash with.

Be sure never to use hot or warm water when washing, as that can also encourage bleeding.
Absolutely! Please contact me via Etsy Conversations before placing your order so I can help you with this.
Not at this time, sorry! I am a one-woman operation so have to manage my time carefully to be fair to all customers. However, if you are interested in a particular colorway please feel free to contact me via Etsy Conversations and I'll let you know when I plan to restock it.
I work hard to ensure each colorway is reproduced as faithfully as possible each time I dye. However, I do not have dye lots and hand dyed yarn always has some variation from one skein to the next. No two skeins will be exactly alike.

When using Incyanity yarn for larger projects, always alternate skeins every two or three rows to camouflage color differences between skeins.

I do my best to accurately represent colors in all photos. I do retouch product shots where necessary. However, different monitors will show color differently. Please take this into account while shopping.
My hope is that you won’t ever want to return/exchange your yarn. I want you to love it!

If you are unhappy with your purchase, please let me know so I can improve going forward. Unfortunately, I can’t accept returns or exchanges on yarn because once it is out of my pet-free and smoke-free home I can’t guarantee the order will be returned in an as-new condition so that I can resell it.
I use a lightweight bag before putting yarn in the shipping bag. On the off-chance the shipping bag is torn (or opened by Customs) during transit, the yarn itself will still be wrapped up and hopefully protected from contamination. The inner bag can also be useful for yarnists who like to store their yarn that way to prevent moths or other critters getting at it.

But plastic is awful for the environment so wherever possible I try to reuse clean bags I already have from other sources, and encourage you to reuse them too! Reusing bags also helps (in a small way) to keep costs on packing materials down. When I don’t have anything suitable to reuse, I opt for compostable bags so you have the option to reuse it for kitchen scraps.
Please have a look at my extended shop FAQ at incyanity.net/yarn-shop/faq. Thanks!
