*THIS LISTING IS FOR A KNITTING PATTERN ONLY - NOT A PHYSICAL ITEM*

The shag carpet shorties were inspired by 70s macrame, vintage upholstery, and this stunning Allison Barnes colourway. These socks are knit from the top down, with a heel flap and gusset, and knit up quickly using a DK weight yarn. Gorgeous cables cover the entire leg and foot of the sock, and blend seamlessly into the toe. There are written and charted instructions included.

The Shag Carpet Shorties pattern worked cuff down, with a heel flap and gusset.

The pattern can be easily adapted into a mid-calf sock but adjusting the number of pattern repeats you do. While the pattern calls for one skein of DK weight yarn, your yardage will vary based on the length or leg and foot you choose to do - those wishing to do a mid-calf sock should have an extra skein handy. A shortie sock (as the pattern is written) will use MUCH less yardage than a mid-calf sock.

Love this pattern! It was my first sock so I had to youtube some things but the second sock worked up so fast! Also, I messaged her when I was feeling defeated and she gave me great advice and helped with my questions. Highly recommend :)

I love the German Short Row Heels! These have become my new favorite sock pattern, and I am excited to see how many variations I can make of these. I did a 7 row 2x2 rib, then a Russian bind off. The second is almost done and I am looking forward to blocking and wearing them. Yarn is Urth Yarn mini sock balls, self-striping.
