Description

Lately I've been on a real filigree kick. I'm not sure why. It's not like I can't make other things with my toolbox of skills. It's not like filigree is quick or easy. But I've been doing it. I've been doing a LOT of it. That and watching a lot of Star Trek.

Anyway, you didn't come here to read a blog post. Or maybe you did. Maybe you came for the filigree but you stay for the witty repartee. But in case you just want to know about these killer earrings, read on....

They are 44mm of pure awesomeness from top to bottom. I spiralized all that wire and soldered it in place in what I can only describe as a Zen-like trance. And you will feel peaceful when you wear them, because they are ridiculously lightweight and comfortable when you put them in your ears. And the earwire is super long - you're probably never going to lose one of them because it fell out of your ear when it snagged on your scarf or something. They just stay where they are. I'm not kidding when I say I have a similar pair and I sleep and shower with them. I can't recommend that because I don't know what your body chemistry or your shampoo is like, so maybe take them out to sleep and bathe.

I don't think you'll find a pair of earrings like these ones - I'm not one to toot my own horn, but these are a pretty unusual design that I'm quite proud of. They have a design that reminds me of an insect wing - maybe from another planet. Or a teeny tiny fairy creature but we all know that fairies are nasty. They are a blade design meant to hang parallel to the side of your face. Let's face it, I just like to say "blade earrings" because I'm picturing Wesley Snipes wearing one of these.

NOTE: I've sold a few pairs of these since I made the ones in the photograph. If you buy these earrings, you will have your own pair made-to-order and they will inevitably have small differences from the pair in the photo. They're going to be pretty close, though. You might not even notice, unless you put them up against the photo and tried to pick out differences like those cartoon pictures from when we were kids, where you had to circle the 5 things that were different between the two panels. Anyway, I just thought you should know.

I am happy to accept Paypal for all purchases. If you would rather send a cheque or money order, please convo me before making your purchase, as your shipping will be delayed until your payment clears.

Returns & exchanges

I make every effort to photograph and represent each piece accurately. Please make sure to ask any question that comes to your mind about my jewellery. Refunds will not typically be offered on custom work or made-to-order pieces, but I will gladly refund a ready-to-ship item (less shipping and paypal fee) if you are dissatisfied and ship it back within a week of receiving the item.
I pride myself on making a durable work of art. If, through normal wear and tear, your jewellery breaks within six months of its purchase date, please send it back to me and I will fix it for you immediately. Allow me a week for repairs and the standard shipping time shown in the policy above.

Shipping policies

Ready-to-ship items mail out within 48 hours of purchase, excluding weekends. MADE-TO-ORDER pieces may take up to 10 days for me to make, depending on my current workload. Please convo me before ordering if you would like a time estimate or need your piece of jewellery by a certain date. I will do whatever I can to make sure it gets to you in time. Pieces are shipped in a sturdy box which is tucked snugly inside a bubble envelope to ensure safe arrival.

Please allow 6-12 business days for shipping to USA, and 4-6 weeks for international shipping. If you live in Canada, you should receive your package in a week or so. If you need faster shipping, contact me and we can work something out for a few dollars more. In these cases, I will invoice you through Paypal.
