Arrived as expected. I am fascinated by the subject of the book as I am also a flax grower and farmer and love comparing methods and supporting fellow enthusiasts! Flax is an amazing plant the has been in use for thousands of years for food and fiber. Highly sustainable crop that is easy to grow and beautiful! I would urge anyone interested in flax to pick up this book even if to only learn about linen and how it is produced.

After ordering on line, this book arrived in a few days. It's a great book for anyone interesting in growing flax to produce linen on an artisan scale. I have worked with flax straw and fiber on a a much larger scale for several decades and there are only a couple technical items I would disagree with the author on, perhaps because I have seen a lot more flax situations than the author. I would highly reccomend this book as a good basic book for home linen producers.

If you want to grow flax. DO GET THIS BOOK FIRST! It will answer any and all questions about this wonderful plant and dispel a few myths in the process. I am growing flax for a second year and it has helped me greatly already! Just wish I had had this book before I began! bjr
