This yarn is hand dyed in shades of pink, grey and burgundy, and was Navajo-plied to preserve color integrity. Soft and strong with a beautiful sheen and drape from the silk and bamboo, this is a great choice for next to skin wear. Enough yardage for a shawl, this makes a great gift for knitters and weavers alike.

Targhee wool is spongy and somewhat elastic. The breed was developed in the 1920’s and is a mix of Rambouillet, Lincoln, and Corriedale; later Columbia was added. It’s soft, strong, blooms nicely, and at 23 microns is a wonderful wool for next to the skin.

This listing is for one skein of fingering weight yarn as shown.

Blend contains:
80% Targhee wool
10% Bamboo
10% Tussah silk

425 yds
4.0 oz
16-20 wpi

This yarn was spun on my Lendrum ST wheel in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.

This yarn will felt, so if that's not your intention, be sure to handwash your finished garment gently in cool water and lay flat to dry.

If you would like it in a center pull ball, please let me know during checkout.
