Created with love, this wedding ring dish is a special home to have and hold your most treasured rings.

This glass ring dish is a wonderful bride to be gift.

This engagement ring dish is also a great gift for wife.

Crafted of fused glass, this little bowl says it all.

This glass ring dish was inspired by the ocean.

This wedding ring dish was made out of a clear sheet of glass that I painted before placing in the kiln. First step was to fuse the painting to the glass which is a technique called Fused glass and in a second firing that same glass slumps in a mold which means that the glass has been reheated and shaped in a mold.

Please be aware that due to the handmade process, each product is uniquely different so you can expect a slight variation in size, glass tint and texture.

Dimensions: 4 x 4 x 1 in approx.

A kiln is used to make the glass molten and to join two or more pieces of glass. The glasses inside the kiln arrive to a temperature of about 1450 Fahrenheit. As glass heats up, it expands and when it cools down it contracts. The pace at which it expands can be measured. Distinct glass expands and contracts at various rates. When glass is heated, it softens and if more heat is applied, it begins to melt and flow. When heated further, they will melt together, flatten out, and become one solid piece of glass.

Once the first firing called full fused is finished I remove the fused piece, have a look at it and if I'm happy with it I then positioned the new strong piece of glass on top of a mold and placed back into the kiln and heated up to where they slump into the prepared shape. Generally this movement occurs around 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. Lots of work behind each piece!
