I used Lion Brand Scarfie yarn for this pattern. It’s soft to the touch, and provides warmth for the cooler weather. This durable yarn can be machine washed and laid to dry.
For this pattern I used 5.0mm and 5.5mm circular OR double pointed needles.

Amazing pattern, worked up great!
I absolutely love this pattern! Quick and easy knit, instructions are easy to follow and read.
I love this beautiful Mermaid doll! She turned out bigger than I realized (I wasn't paying attention to the actual size), but that was definitely a pleasant surprise! Having such an easy pattern to read, in combination with the video help, allowed this beginner to make such a beautiful doll! I customized my doll as well, and did her hair in pink and brown strands. Overall, I recommend this pattern and would buy again!
Not only is this *by far* the most adorable crochet rendition of the Child available on the entire internet, but the pattern is easy to follow and the tutorial video explains EVERYTHING. Since I had never crocheted before (or knitted, or done anything similar—plus i’m a total klutz), it took me a while (several hours a day for about a week), but thanks to the videos i managed to finish and the outcome is sooooooooo cuteeeeee!!!! Thanks, yarn2tog!!!
