Its amazing how a quilt can look so different by simply changing the colour placement in a pattern. Whether your style is traditional or modern or you prefer a light or dark background on your quilts the stars in Minnesota Stars will always shine!

Minnesota Stars was inspired by our friends south of the border who have supported our business over the years. We were asked to participate in the Minnesota Shop Hop in 2019 and had a wonderful time discovering new quilt shops and making new friends.

After making our first sample in traditional Kansas Troubles fabrics with a dark background we thought it would be fun to see how it looked in modern Art Gallery fabrics with a light background. We were so happy with the modern results it became our 'cover girl'.

This pattern is for a lap sized quilt measuring 60" x 74". This is a great stash busting pattern as it uses 1/2 yard cuts or less for each fabric (excluding the outer border and background). Instructions include a 'colour option' chart where you can glue in your own colour swatches and has detailed directions for making 3 traditional blocks surrounded by the friendship stars in the sashing. Diagrams include pressing arrows to help the construction of the quilt top go smoothly.
