This soft-cover, photo journal by Dawud Wharnsby seeks to inspire young writers in their craft, more than actually offering up a detailed account of the author's life. Dawud writes about the Muslim tradition of spiritual song ("Nasheed") and what inspires him to hymns and poems. Specific sections also focus on: the importance of family, maintaining good intentions, the writing process, prayer, Ramadan & Eid and artistic expression as a means of communication.

The book arrived quickly and in great condition. It even arrived with a personalized note from the author that made the kids feel super special. The book is great, just like his other two. I'm so happy to have this collection.
