Where are your products made?

> All designs are created and screen printed in my Guelph-based studio, except for stickers, which are produced by a third party.

What is screen printing?

> My designs are first exposed onto photosensitive screens, made of a very fine mesh stretched onto a metal frame. After the exposure process, the screen is rinsed with water and the positive parts of the design become porous on the screen and the negative parts are blocked with the photo emulsion. The screen is then secured in place with clamps, screen-printing ink is added onto the surface of the screen and forced through the porous areas of mesh using a squeegee onto the substrate below (paper, fabric, etc..). Each colour is a separate layer, so for a two colour print, the process is repeated, once the first layer is dry.

Will the ink fade when I wash my patch, t-shirt or tote bag?

> I use Speedball's fabric ink and then heat-set each piece so that there is minimal fading when washed. Unlike plastisol inks that sit on top of fabric, Speedball inks have a softer feel and will almost have a 'vintage' look when washed many times. For best results, wash in cold water and hang dry.

> I don't offer custom printing, but would be happy to chat about illustration work or any other fun project you have in mind!

I would like to send my order as a gift, will you hand write the personal message for me?

> I will only handwrite your message if specified on your order. Otherwise, the message will be laser printed onto paper and placed in with the order.

Will I get a tracking number with my order?

> If you select the 'Standard Delivery', you will NOT get a tracking number with your order. You must select the 'Express' method of shipping if you would like to track your order.

Shipping was free for my order - will I get a tracking number?

> All orders with free shipping will be sent out as 'Standard Delivery' and will NOT be trackable. If you need a tracking number, please be sure to upgrade to the express shipping option.

Why is the shipping upgrade so expensive?

> Good question. I only charge the actual cost of shipping, plus a tiny bit extra for handling, but unfortunately Canada Post's trackable options aren't cheap.

Help! My order hasn't arrived and I bought it over a week ago.

> Hang tight! Please allow at least 8 business days once your order has shipped out before becoming concerned. If you selected 'Standard Delivery', unfortunately there is no way to track it, but usually the delay is caused by customs processing or if it's close to Christmas. Double-check that you have provided the correct mailing address. Sometimes orders return to me because addresses are incorrect or the person has moved. You will be notified right away if your order returns to me.
