Lots of detail make these so much fun to knit up!. The slipper bases come together quickly with garter stitch on two needles. Instructions on washing and shaping the wool are also included. Plenty of photos and descriptive directions! Difficulty level is Intermediate, requires knowledge of sewing a seam, picking up stitches and attaching knit pieces.

Instruction for Sizes:
0-3 months - 3" (7.5 cm)
3-6 months - 3.5" (9 cm)
6-12 months - 4.0" (10 cm)

I hesitated about purchasing this pattern because I wanted to make a cabled scarf and not a square-shaped hat but the seller was very patient and helpful, answering all my questions and even suggesting other patterns on Etsy that might suit me better. In the end, I couldn’t get Heather’s gorgeous Celtic weave out of my system so I finally bought it and decided to make it round with no pompons. Very easy to follow pattern.

My acorn hat is adorable! It’s a light weight wool so perfect for chilly north Florida days - it was 37 this morning and perfect for keeping me cozy! Colors are warm browns and the green leaf on the top is a dainty detail that makes it perfect!
