A simple, handmade heart hanger that makes a lovely little gift or perhaps just as a special treat for yourself.

The heart is made from terracotta clay which, once cut into shape, is carefully smoothed to soften and round the edges as if it had, perhaps, been worn down by the action of the sea. After being left to dry thoroughly, it is bisque fired and later glazed with a traditional majolica-style Tin white glaze and hand painted with blue Cobalt oxide. It then heads back to the kiln for a second firing. The ornament is assembled using beads and wire and hangs easily on a nail or hook.


Every Shoreline Ceramics item is made to be unique and is carefully hand crafted and painted. Glaze density, depth of colour and design will vary from piece to piece. Personally, I love the fact that each piece is so individual, but please do just bear this in mind when making your purchase.
