HELLO FRIEND” was designed by me to help people feel a little less alone. Whether you wake up to this sweet friend every morning, or make one and send it to a friend that is feeling isolated, the pillow offers a cheery greeting to lift us up.

The pillow is 20” x 20” and is finished off with snazzy faux piping. The pattern is inclusive, whatever your comfort zone is: it comes with instructions for both FPP and regular piecing, as well as options for either a zippered and zipper-free back.
The pattern was originally donated to support the quilt shops that have supported my business over the years, during this challenging time for small businesses.
While you are welcome to make projects with this pattern as gifts for others, kindly do not share the pattern file with anyone else - each maker must purchase their own copy. The pattern is for personal use only - you may not make items for sale with the pattern. Please tag #hellofriendpattern and #happysewlucky when you share your projects online. I love every pattern that I buy from Happy Sew Lucky, and this one did not disappoint! The instructions were clear and the final product came out beautifully! I added a few extra inches all around to fit a pillow I already had, so my pillow is a little larger than the original design. Thank you for such a wonderful pattern!!

This was my first quilting experience ever, and I am amazed that I was able to create something like this! I’ve only been sewing for about 6 months, but this pattern was so clear and straightforward, and Berene’s YouTube tutorials demystify the whole process, the top for this pillowcase came together surprisingly easily! I’m a huge fan of her work, and can’t wait to work my way through all of her designs!
