PLEASE READ!!
~This listing is for a PDF sewing pattern!! It does not include a finished product. Your pattern will available for instant download after your payment is processed (link to download instructions below). PLEASE NOTE you cannot use the Etsy app to download digital files (only a web-browser)!~~~
NOTE: This is a measure and cut pattern written with IMPERIAL (US) measurements. The file does NOT include pattern pieces or templates. You will receive one 15 page file that includes helpful notes, a materials list, measure and cut instructions, step-by-step instructions on how to make the bag, numerous photos, and a final page with labels that can be used for organizing your fabric pieces as they are cut.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Advanced Beginner (beginner level project, but it requires knowledge of setting rivets and installing a zipper).
FINISHED SIZE: 11"W (at base) x 10.5"H x 4"D
BAG DETAILS: This bag is fully lined with a top zipper closure, two front exterior pockets, and three interior slip pockets. The instructions are written specifically for leather handles, and either a leather or cotton webbing adjustable strap.
LEATHER HANDLES & CROSSBODY STRAP: For the handles, I recommend using leather that is at least 4-5oz (1.6mm - 2mm ) thickness. There are many sources for purchasing 1" wide leather strips for the handles and crossbody strap. One option is is to purchase the "Genuine Leather Purse Strap, Oil Tan Strip" from Springfield Leather Company here on Etsy. One 64" strip can be used to cut both handles, the accent pieces, and the side strap connectors. If you decide to make your crossbody strap with leather (instead of cotton webbing), you would need to purchase TWO of the 64" strips.
LEATHER BOTTOM: If using leather for the bottom of your Camille, you will need to understand the correct weight and temper needed for this pattern. If using thick or firm leather, you will likely need to skive the edges in several areas. Skiving is NOT covered in this pattern. I recommend using a lighter weight leather that is not too terribly firm if sewing on a domestic machine.
COTTON WEBBING CROSSBODY STRAP: If making your crossbody strap out of cotton webbing, I recommend using one that isn't too soft and thin. There are many places to purchase a good quality cotton webbing. I use the 1" Medium Heavy Weight cotton webbing from EverythingRibbons here on Etsy.
REFUNDS: There are NO refunds on digital items. However, if you have questions about this pattern, or if you need assistance with your purchase, please message me. I am always here to help!
