RECYCLED SILK CHIFFON RIBBON

These beautiful fibres are made from repurposed chiffon scraps, sewn and knotted together. The ends of garments, which would otherwise be wasted, are recuperated, cut, and connected to create one continuous chiffon ribbon skein.

Recycled chiffon silk is different from recycled sari silk in that it is more soft, pliable, and translucent.

Beautiful textural elements, raw and sometimes frizzy edges, and non uniform colours with surprising pops give these ribbons aesthetic depth and make them perfect fibres for many different creative applications:

I decided to supply these ribbons in my shop because I started using them in my own fibre art and loved the texture and depth they brought to my work.
