This is a well written pattern for a super cute hat. I searched through quite a few buffalo plaid beanie patterns and landed on this one because the look was most like what I had in mind--large square pattern and a fold-over brim. The savior of this pattern was the link to her how-to video. I haven't done much color work and the video made figuring that out a breeze. There were other steps I wasn't sure about and the video helped immensely. This pattern does take longer than other hats I've made and uses quite a bit of yarn. The result is a very THICK hat and a long, fold over brim. I made a cute "daddy and me" set and will likely make more of this pattern. :)

Love it as does my daughter. The only downside is the loop stitch I wasnt able to follow it that well, I find instructions easier written clearly with pictures. So I think the loop stitch could do with more detail... I haven't cut the loops on the hood because Im not confident that I've done it right. Everything else easy to follow! Im i the UK and had to use different yarn so would advise if you are in the UK to order more than it states!!

Instructions are written great and the video helped a lot. However, the only thing I do not like is that the bobbles on one side of the tree are in a line and the bobbles on the other side of the tree are scattered. That’s just my personal preference! The pattern is wonderfully explained and would still recommend!
