"Sleek" - A sleek elongated Hematite stone is hung on hand formed sterling silver earwires in a modern design. This look is fun, funky and will stay securely fastened with the hook at the bottom of this sleek design. The earring itself is created to have a secure closure at the bottom as it hooks onto the long wire. Now you can invest in earrings that you won't loose. My hand formed ear wires are made from high quality sterling silver wire purchased from a Canadian refinery. Once shaped, they are cold forged at the end with jewellers tools to give it a slightly flared edge. They are tumbled for work hardening and optimal strength. The ends have been filed and polished. A slightly heavier gauge wire is used for optimal durability. Lovingly made by hand.

Sterling Silver is best stored in a plastic bag with something to wick out moisture such as a carbon pack or silica pack (found in dry food packages). This will prevent tarnish. Tarnish is caused from a reaction between silver, oxygen and moisture.

This design was created when one of my customers had lost her earring in a similar design without the security hook. Since, a whole set of unique colours and stones can be found with this design.
