Malachite Butterfly Enamel Pin - Dorsal or Overwing Colors Glow in the Dark and Glitter | Black Nickel Toned | Accessories Entomology

This intricate Malachite Butterfly (Siproeta stelenes) enamel pin exhibits its gorgeous dorsal or "overwing" colours. The astonishing green colour of the butterfly in this design is set against deep, almost black, purple with hints of rainbow glitter. The green areas are Glow in the Dark, further exhibiting the intricate design of the pin.

The Malachite is a butterfly that can be found in Central and northern South America. Its dorsal or "overwing" colours are different than its ventral or "underwing" colours, and both are absolutely beautiful.

The pin is 1.75" wide and 1 3/16” tall (45mm wide and 30mm tall). It is black nickel metal with two back pin posts to ensure a secure hold. For extra security, especially if you will be affixing the pin to a bag or article of clothing that tends to be moved around or brushed against other things often, please consider adding locking clutches for $1.00.

I will include two locking clutches, but a neat trick would be to use one locking clutch with one rubber clutch (so with the two locking clutches provided, you would be able to secure two different pins). I have been able to prevent losing my own pins after the rubber clutch was accidentally dislodged.
