Dispatches from a small business in
Hum is a 16 page, 2-colour risograph printed book, soft to the touch and pocket friendly, created by Tasman Richardson and Brigitte Bardon't (Kristel Jax). Each issue maps and poetically details three resonant spots for audio in Toronto, Canada.
Issue #4, Spring 2021, is printed in kelly green & teal by Vide Press in a limited edition of 30 on warm white, matte, uncoated, 80lb paper, staple-stitched.
Hum's Spring 2021 issue is a walking tour of Toronto's historic St Lawrence neighbourhood. The drones range from symphonic back alleys to terraces over pits of noise. The walk should take less than an hour, depending how much you stand still.
In a time where accessing live music is challenging at best, Hum offers readers an IRL concert experience, a chance to get outside, and, may we HUMbly say, a different way of listening.
