"This is a great, easy to follow pattern. I’m an experienced sewist (over 30 years) and found I still learned things! If you are a beginner, maybe don’t try this as your first project, but it’s achievable for patient and adventurous new sewists.
Excuse the photo being unfinished, but I thought it could help to see a slightly boxier jacket.
The welt pocket instructions were clear, and easy to not muck up. I used boiled wool, a wool/cotton batting, and a cotton sateen to line the jacket. I knew it would be a lot more stiff than the image, but it worked out fine. I had to take in the side seams by 2 inches each side, but the pattern actually encourages you to try on and adjust at this stage. Taking it in to make the fit more like I wanted was EASY and didn’t mess with the design. I appreciated the thought that went into this."
