My world sits squarely at the intersection where high tech and low tech collide. My jewellery is primarily made from the high tech, semi-precious metal niobium using low tech tools and techniques.
For over 20 years, I have been a computer-aided signmaker/designer from my home on 2 acres of organically tended land on the outskirts of a town of 6000. So, eco-friendly and 'green' are always a major concern. The Ice Storm of 1998 taught me that while high tech is useful, it can break down all too easily. Low tech is always reliable. Many of my tools are genuine antiques.
