A native of California, my husband (Bryant) and I moved to the Chicago metro area in December of 1995. We had a minus 40 degree wind chill the day we moved into our new home. I learned quickly that if I did not find something to do during deep winter I would go MAD! I decided to take a drawing course at a local college, at the urging of several family members. My instructor told me, I should exhibit and sell my work. That was the beginning of a very fun immersion into the Art world. Since my first class I have studied drawing, oil and water color under award winning artist. I became an exhibiting member of a local Art League,which I enjoyed so much. I ended up working in the Art League gallery for several years. Painting silk is my latest addition to my artistic journey. The vibrant colors and soft texture of the silk makes me feel pampered , joyful and dressed to the nines!
I will allways be a California girl, but Chicago is where I found my love of art. So glad to be able to share my work with you. Enjoy!
