I love to sew! That creative surge can unexpectedly descend and suddenly I find myself awake and vibrant for hours, often late into the night - creating. Until finally, I reach a point that I can tear myself away and settle down to sleep - content that on the morrow, I will have the satisfaction of continuing a project of my own design, from my own imagination. Sometimes inspiration strikes from a picture in a magazine, a new sewing method, a fabric, an experiment, or seemingly nothing at all. Regardless of the source of inspiration, in the end the completed project is my own creation. Special.
In the winter I can be found snugly sewing in our cabin-like home, in the forest, looking out at those many rainy days that we have here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The colors and textures of the flowers and beads and ribbons I use often remind me of the brighter days of nature, such as my Blue Skies and Wild Roses Coat, and I reminisce the warmer season's experiences and plan the next season's events. May my products brighten your days as well.
