Announcement    Hello and welcome (back) to our shop! If you have been here before, you may notice some changes! After some time away to have my second child and some time to think about the direction that I would like my sewing to take, we have decided to relaunch with a more eco-friendly version of ourselves.

With two kids, my husband and I were shocked at the amount of waste that we could easily create. While we had already take some steps to produce less waste (we’ve cloth diapered both children) we still felt that we could take things a step further. One area that we noticed some of our greatest waste was with paper towels. We were using them for everything from napkins at dinner to wiping up baby spit up to cleaning the bathroom. What a waste! So I decided to see what I could do to help my family reduce some of our waste. I began by making a whole bunch of reusable cloths for everyday use and they have been great! They have greatly reduced the number of paper towels that our family goes through and we hope to one day replace them completely. I then started looking around our home to see what else could be replaced with a reusable option. I found that there were many opportunities for improvement in the bathroom so I began with making cotton rounds and makeup remover wipes.

Another area that I found created significant waste was with fabric scraps. After every project, I was left with (what felt like) a ton of excess scraps. I have packaged them up and given them away on free sites before but I still felt like I should be putting them to use. For that reason, you may find that some of our products are slightly different sizes (in a group) or that you see the same fabric being used in a variety of different products. I want to try to ensure that I am constantly getting the best use of material so that the smallest amount of waste is created. I don’t know about you, but I love using some of the fancy napkin fabrics in a makeup remover - it feels so luxurious!

As we continue on our eco-friendly journey, I will continue to add more green products as the options seem almost endless.

We hope you enjoy using our products as much as we enjoy making them!
