Why I choose Etsy to sell my work.
Born and raised in Poland, I studied at Fine Arts High School before moving to Vermont’s Mad River Valley 8 years ago. Reconnecting with my love for ceramics, I started my Etsy shop to share unique and handcrafted pieces. Ceramics quickly became my full-time focus, and I now spend countless hours creating and experimenting in my studio. My designs are inspired by fashion, architecture, travel, and my Eastern European heritage.
I started my first shop in 2011, selling handmade puzzles, toys, and vintage clothing. Over time, I transitioned to screen printing and eventually focused on ceramics full-time. Etsy's easy-to-use platform and built-in clientele for unique, handmade items have been invaluable. I aim to create a community with my customers, offering incentives, showcasing my studio and creation process.
I’m always and forever inspired by my Eastern European heritage, particularly Polish design. When I studied in Fine Arts High School European art history was one of my favorite subjects. Recently, I’ve been experimenting with a firing technique called Obvara, which uses a yeast mixture to create stunning organic patterns. A lot of my painted work draws from traditional Polish folk patterns and designs. My creations also reflect my experience as a woman in today’s society and are influenced by current cultural events. Additionally, my life in the Vermont mountains and my daily walks in the woods always creep into my sculptural work.
