Ana captures the soul of the people she draws before creating the caricatures. She is incredibly sensitive and talented. ||| Ana captura a alma das pessoas que desenha antes de criar as caricaturas. Ela é incrivelmente sensível e talentosa.

I've been looking for this poster for many years, since the time it was only sold on paper in Brazil directly by the artist. I can't even remember why I didn't buy it at that time. Anyway, I'm really happy she finally made it available again. Everything went fine with the purchase, and printing was easy by following the detailed instructions. 100% satisfied!

Ana Elisa's work is of unequal lindeza and delicacy. I already knew and really wanted this painting to beautify my kitchen. The picture is beautiful, it lived up to all my expectations. It's really worth it.
From Brazil to Canada, a new beginning
Back in Brazil, while working as a corporate illustrator, I put up an online shop in a Brazilian platform, where I could sell my illustrations and watercolour paintings, speacially to people who knew me through my food blog La Cucinetta, still going on (in Portuguese) since 2006. It is not a coincidence than one of the things I like to paint the most and my best selling pieces have the same theme: food. I like images of food that bring you some kind of peace of mind, as in when you stop drinking your tea in order to observe the vapours spiralling into the afternoon light.
Likewise, I paint from my vacation pictures a lot. Urban scenes depleted of people, that remind you of a Sunday morning when you wake up earlier than everyone else, and walk alone on the streets, listening to the echo of your footsteps going towards the recently opened bakery. The silence and the void makes you pay attention to the perfume of freshly baked bread that comes from the store. You can hear the air your breathing in.
In 2017 I sold every drawing or painting I have left with me and moved to Canada with my husband, my kids (from whom I take great inspiration for my illustrations nowadays) and my beloved dog 12 year old dog. It was a clean slate for my career, somehow. Nobody knows me in Canada. At the peak of my 40 years of age, I see myself starting from the beginning once again. Putting up a new online store in order to show the work I have been doing since I arrived in North America. That is very exciting, the possibility of starting anew. So here it is. These are all watercolour paintings done since arriving in Canada, and that have gone through a show in Toronto. I am a Brazilian artist, and have been illustrating and painting for the last 20 years. I was always inspired by food and travelling, and since I became a mother, also take great inspiration from my kids for my illustrations.
