In 2014, I returned to my drawing and painting roots, inspired by travelling in Europe, taking art courses in Italy, and creating some illustrated travel journals. Despite obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in my youth, I consider myself self-taught by these art-making travels, because I hadn't used the mediums of ink or watercolour much prior to making these journals. These travels continue to be the subject of my art.
I make my pieces both on-site and from my photos or ones gifted to me by friends and family. And each time I'm transported to these fantastic places as I draw and paint.

I also have been commissioned to recreate travel memories for clients as illustrated art pieces. If this is something you might like, my website has all the details.

Thanks so much for visiting the shop!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalised orders

I would be glad to create a piece for you of one of your travel memories. Please contact me about a commission at my website.

Please note there are no returns on commissioned pieces once shipped.

Ownership Rights

You own the original piece, but I still retain copyright and reproduction rights. I may reproduce this image in some other form (i.e. a printed item, shop promotion), however you cannot use or reproduce the image of the piece without first asking for my permission.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I leave the framing and wrapping up to you. Pieces are sent mounted in standard sized mats and then sealed within a protective clear bag. You can give it as a gift as-is or remove from the bag for framing.

Protecting Watercolours

These pieces are not treated with any fixatives, so to protect them from damage, they should be framed behind glass.
Once framed, keep them out of steamy rooms - no bathrooms!
Once framed, it's a good idea to keep them off of cold exterior walls to avoid condensation.
Also, avoid hanging them on walls that get a lot of direct sunlight unless you buy a frame with UV-reflective glass.

Is your work only available on Etsy?

Throughout the year, I do participate in various art shows and fairs where my original pieces are available for sale. If an artwork is sold at one of these events, it is immediately removed from my Etsy shop.

What happens if I mark it as a gift?

The art pieces do not have price stickers on them. However if you are shipping directly to a gift recipient, especially internationally from Canada, the content and value of the shipped goods must be noted on the exterior of the package.
If you do not wish the gift recipient to know the value of the gift, ship it to yourself, and then you can pass it along to the recipient.
